SUBURB OR CITY? GAIA VS. GEMA

Within our Spring 2019 collection, are two sole sisters GAIA and GEMA. While you’re wondering which one to add to your cart, keep reading to find out why one style may be a better fit than the other.

We see these booties the same way beauty gurus talk about eyebrows, “your brows are sisters, not twins.” So, let’s break them down:

The GAIA peep-toe bootie is made out of nubuck leather and has an elastic at the ankle. It also has a “peep-heel” and comes in grey and brown.

With GAIA’s elastic ankle, this shoe feels more casual and easy, perfect for you stylish moms. Without the fuss of the zipper and the exposed heel, GAIA, gives off a care-free attitude.

For the spring, style our brown GAIA with wider silhouettes like wide leg pants and billowy cotton dresses. Tuck a long sleeve or turtlenecks under both to keep warm through the seasonal transition or throw on a long cardigan for a cozy boho look. From eggs benedict brunches to a movie matinee, GAIA is the more light and refreshing style of the two.

The GEMA peep-toe bootie is made out of suede and has a zipper at the heel. It comes in pink and brown and has a cut out at the instep.

The GEMA exudes a sporty feel as the inner sole cut out gives your foot a curved silhouette. This is more for the city girl on the go when she needs her shoes zipped on for security. Running between blocks, style our pink GEMA with a skinny jean and a pop of color thick knit sweater. On a night on the town, try a black moto jacket over an ankle length sleeveless dress and some dainty jewelry with our brown GEMA for a tougher vibe.

If you identify more as one over the other, definitely go for it! Both the GAIA and GEMA are super versatile pieces that easily transition through all seasons and events. Whether you spend your day chasing toddlers or running meetings, these booties will keep your feet comfy and stylish this spring.
